Nick Calabrese, Ph.D

Captain Nick Calabrese isn’t just your guide on FV Mayhem — he’s a lifelong Cape Cod fisherman who also happens to hold a Ph.D. in fisheries science from UMass Dartmouth’s School for Marine Science and Technology. Nick grew up on the water and has spent his life chasing everything from stripers and blues inshore to giant tuna offshore. His background in fisheries research gives him a unique edge, combining hands-on experience with a deep understanding of fish behavior and the ocean environment. More importantly, Nick loves sharing that passion with others. Whether it’s your first time fishing or you’re a seasoned angler, he’s dedicated to making your trip fun, exciting, and memorable.
